The masked DJ’s hedonistic party adds a rich dimension to Pacha’s summer programme
Enigmatic DJ and producer Claptone and iconic nightclub Pacha reveal the return of one of Ibiza’s most celebrated and unique events, ‘The Masquerade’ – bringing magic and mystery to the White Isle for its biggest season yet.
Taking original inspiration from a traditional Venetian masked ball and famed for its unique visuals and extraordinarily elaborate atmosphere, ‘The Masquerade’ saw one of its most successful years to date in 2022, with almost 100,000 people through the doors at Pacha throughout a star-studded Ibiza season. It has now become a highlight in the Ibizan calendar and toured the world over from Buenos Aires’ GEBA stadium via New York’s Brooklyn Mirage and London’s Printworks to occupying its own arena at Belgium’s Tomorrowland. Past guests have included Fatboy Slim, MK, James Hype, Vintage Culture, Armand Van Helden, Meduza, Faithless and Pete Tong.
Claptone, the maverick behind ‘The Masquerade’, is fresh from launching his new label Golden Recordings in celebration of house music and its “everlasting golden era”, in the masked DJ’s own words – with inaugural club-ready single ‘Euphoria’ introducing the label with a bang this month.
Embodying Claptone’s golden era, ‘The Masquerade’ is a hedonistic party where one can live out their deepest desires, featuring an extraordinary atmosphere full of masked faces and complimented by Pacha’s world-famous and beautifully elegant performers. ‘The Masquerade’ brings people together from all over the world to enjoy the biggest DJs and the most memorable nights.
‘The Masquerade’ finds its natural home at the world-famous Pacha, and returns this summer to capture an electric mix of authenticity, spontaneity and prestige with incredible production, creative decor and theatrics that draw on the club’s rich Ibizan history.
Heralding the return of the illustrious golden masks, ‘The Masquerade’ will throw open its doors on May 13th 2023, adding a decadent dimension to Pacha’s 2023 Ibiza programme.
